STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST SYSTEMS FOR THE T3

We supply hand-made exhaust systems made of 100% stainless steel of quality class 1.4301 for the well-known VW T3 turbodiesel models and their possible conversions. These are currently available for the well-known JX engine as well as the common TDI engines with the code letters 1Z and AFN.

If you have special requests or need a special solution - no problem. Just ask.

 

On the TDIs, the downpipes differ between the 2WD and the Sycro variants. For the AAZ engine in the T3, it is necessary to know your configuration - the JX exhaust manifold and the associated charger are often installed here. In this case the JX pipes fit.

Both rear silencers and matching downpipes are available.

Have you installed a KAT and want to continue using it in the new system? - simply send it to us and it will be installed in the new pipe. Do you want to have a new KAT installed? - we would be happy to advise you on this.

The rear silencer

The silencer is designed as an absorption silencer. It is made of 100% stainless steel of quality class 1.4301. It has an outside diameter of 114mm which leaves more space towards the pulley. The side holders are 3mm thick, the damper itself has a wall thickness of 2mm and the connecting pipe is 1.5mm thick to ensure good clamping of the Y-pipe with an acceptable tightening torque of the supplied clamp. The inner diameter is 56mm and is specially adapted for the TDI engines as they require a flow rate of around 3.7l/s. A nOrdinary turbodiesel dampers have reached the end of their possibilities here. The sound is absorbed using a mesh made of stainless steel wool and a high-quality calcium silicate fiber insulation material. Its design reduces the back pressure of the exhaust gases. Its design is similar to the original JX damper.

Please keep in mind that you need the original plate on the left side to install the ESD. However, this can still be obtained or used.

The Y-pipe for the JX turbodiesel

We supply the Y-pipe in the plugged version and it is also made of 100% stainless steel. There is no difference between 2WD and Syncro. It is made to fit our rear silencer precisely. If you would like to use it with a different ESD, please contact us - in many cases adaptation is possible.

Would you like to use your Oxikat? - no problem - we can install this. Please send this to us.

An otherwise non-existent flexible part is installed in the Y-pipe - this is necessary due to the different thermal expansion of stainless steel compared to conventional materials. The flex part is also made entirely of stainless steel and comes from a well-known German brand manufacturer.

The Y-pipe for the 1Z TDI 2WD

We deliver this Y-pipe in the plugged version and it is also made of 100% stainless steel. It is for the T3 in the rear-wheel drive version andnot for the syncro usable. The fit of the tube takes into account maximum ground clearance even in lowered vehicles and also the use of the standard “diaper”. It is made to fit our rear silencer precisely. If you would like to use it with a different ESD, please contact us - in many cases adaptation is possible.

Would you like to use the catalytic converter from the donor vehicle? - no problem - we can install this. Please send this to us. Would you like to install a new catalytic converter made of stainless steel? Please contact us - we will be happy to advise you. The installation position of the KAT can be varied according to customer requirements.

The Y-pipe for the 1Z TDI Syncro

We also supply this Y-pipe in the plugged version and it is also made of 100% stainless steel. It is suitable for the T3 in the Syncro version in both 14" and 16" versionsnot for the normal 2WD usable. The fit of the tube takes maximum ground clearance into account and is designed so that all parts are higher than the underrun protection. The use of the standard engine paneling is also taken into account. It is made to fit our rear silencer precisely. If you would like to use it with a different ESD, please contact us - in many cases adaptation is possible.

We also supply this Y-pipe in the plugged version and it is also made of 100% stainless steel. It is suitable for the T3 in the Syncro version in both 14" and 16" versionsnot for the normal 2WD usable. Retaining plate rear silencer VW T3 until 1989

We recreated the left adapter/support plates for the rear silencer of the VW T3 Turbodiesel up to 1989. These are now available from us in grade 1.4301 (V2A) stainless steel with a thickness of 4mm. The original VW number was VW 068251353. They are suitable for the JX and CS engines. They are also required for various TDI conversions. We are happy to give a 100-year guarantee against rust through the parts.

We also supply suitable exhaust systems in stainless steel for all well-known turbodiesel models including TDI conversions.
